Our Story
Current ownership
Founded in 2024, Walden Coffee was born out of a passion for high-quality coffee and a desire to create a space that feels like home. Inspired by the tranquility and simplicity of Henry David Thoreau’s Walden Pond, we strive to offer a cozy yet vibrant environment where everyone feels welcome. But at the end of the day we care about more than just the cup, we work to reduce our negative impact on our immediate and global environment. What this means for us is increasing the amount of locally produced products and materials we use, reducing the amount of plastic and disposables thrown away both in the shop and outside it, as well as investing in environmental resiliency and restoration across Minnesota and the world!
